About Us
How did we started?
Truly Gourmet was founded out of desperation during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020.
Our founder, Ethan Wong, was looking for a means of survival during the hardship period, where he revived his abandoned tempeh chips research back from 2018, further develop them for another 12 months, and thus, begin the journey of Truly Gourmet.
Today Truly Gourmet’s Tempeh Chips is Halal Certified by Jakim Malaysia.
Mid 2020
R&D
- Revived the research and further develop the product.
December 2020
Beta Testing
- Our founder collected data from 139 anonymous testers to finalize the R&D
6th January 2021
Product Launch
- Launch our Sea Salt Tempeh Chips all from his home kitchen.
November 2021
Moved to 3,500 sqft Space
- Due to continuous demand, we moved to a large space to accommodate to the demands
April 2023
Singapore
- Our first milestone overseas
September 2023
Presence in all major retail in West Malaysia
- Village Grocer, Jaya Grocer, Mercato, Cold Storage, Aeon, Watsons, etc
